Tricam Evo for Campers
The Tricam Evo is a logical evolution of the tried-and-true, time-proven Tricam. With some simple engineering, it offers a second chock possibility, giving the Tricam Evo three (instead of the historic two) placement modes: active cam and two passive chocks. This makes the Tricam Evo even more versatile, allowing it to be placed in situations where nothing else can fit, such as solution pockets.
Featuring a wider section at the top of the head that creates an extra taper, the Tricam Evo provides additional stability in cammed placements. It will be available in four sizes, ranging from 0.25 to 1.5.
One of the key improvements in the Tricam Evo is the new, stiffer slings. The inner band of webbing has been extended further towards the head, using a new stitch pattern to create a naturally stiffer sling. This makes one-handed placements easier, while still engaging the cam in active mode. Additionally, the extra layer of material increases the sling's durability over sharp edges.
The Tricam Evo's cam has a range of 17-27mm and a strength rating of 9kN. The two passive chocks also have a strength rating of 9kN each, ensuring reliable performance in a variety of scenarios.
